You do realize that Desert Hot Springs as about another 25-30 min (~ 25 miles) further than Indio, right?

As Mr. Windowmaker said, nope. I have tented it for the last three events. Love it! No drives to/from the track in the morning and evening, and get to enjoy all the on-site fun (ex: Baiser/miller/Chambers band).

Tent camping works pretty well here. The bathrooms are clean and have showers and the food vendor is pretty good. It can get cold in January though so bundle up. March should be lovely, wish I could be there.

yep...81 miles. while not ideal - i'm fine w/ it. figured i'd throw it out there for the group as well. it's rough one way or another...i'll just look at it as a shorter drive friday :beerchug:

It looks like some cabins are available for the weekend of any one is interested.
