Comeau Wins

:D Tim Comeau wins his Group C class today in the Tecate Grand Prix, congratulations!

Bruno Desrochers joined me today at Tecate to watch Tim's success and John Rodgers cut down a tire in his race resulting in a DNF. However, SDR was well represented with John, Rosie, Tim, Bruno, and myself.

Muchas gracias, Senor Myrus!
Tengo no problemas con mi carro.
"El Zebra" proved very popular with the crowd in Tecate.
My main competition was that fast Integra. I could get him under braking, but he could out drag race me to the next corner. So I just kept the pressure up until he made a big enough mistake, went under him, then used the heck out of the Porsche brakes for the next couple laps to open up a gap that he just couldn't make up with power.
Very few drivers hurt their cars on the curbs and K-rail. The tire wall chicanes were pretty much untouched during the weekend, too.
The fans really make the events down in Mexico. They go crazy for the road racing.
It was great having Tecate beer sponsor the race. I don't think I paid for one beer during the weekend!

The racing, the food, the drinks, the people.................
Yup, I dig racing in Mexico!
(Just don't expect to take the racing schedule literally! Crazy Americans and the punctuality!) :D

Thanks, but they aren't all that.
Seriously, you just run conservatively until you're ok with the track. Then you stay on the conservative side.
It's that discretion and valour proportional equation? :)
It's a challenge, but the pleasure of racing in Mexico outweighs the dangers, if done with the right attitude.

Thanks! You'd have a blast. I guarantee it. I think you have the right attitude to make it through the weekend. The Mexican drivers want to have fun and bring their car home in one piece, too. Proven by how few had contact with anything.

Hey, just so you guys know, the next race in Mexico is in Tijuana on June 25-26. No local conflicting race dates. Take the trolley!
