Do cones count? Or is the winner at the descretion of the owner :?

Either way, I am in, just curious....

In! I was .95 behind Grosekemper last time around, I want to see if I'm any closer (or farther away  ) to Cap'n Jad.

The cones are markers for the edge of the course. If a cone is hit and it didn't really make a difference in the length or tightness of the course, I MIGHT not count it. Case in point; Marguglio's brilliant drive in the last 944 challenge. He hit one cone, but it was on a part of the track that didn't really affect the lap time. Should I have flushed an otherwise fantastic lap down the drain? Nope, I could see it didn't make a difference in the course length or turn's radius.
Have you ever put a tire off in the dirt at a real track? The lap time still counted didn't it? See what I mean?
This is for fun, but great driving is rewarded. I can SEE great driving. I can feel the sensations as I watch my cars being driven hard.
Try to snatch the stick shift from my hand, Grasshopper........... :D

Jad, I think I'll bring down my free-weight set and my cover-alls to fit you with, and bring you up to my body-weight  . Then we'll see who waves bye-bye to who  . (I figure I've got a good 50 lbs or so on you. That's roughly 10BHP, and another 20 to 40-feet later braking input you have over me. You'd better have a 14% to 23% better time than me based on statistical power-to-weight ratio differences :banghead: )

Tim: I want a BRI for the Challange based on driver-weight.

No, no, nooooooo.
The whole reason for doing this was to get away from the BRI's problems.
I guess I could install a stackable weight system and bring a bathroom scale for the driver before he/she gets into the car.........
and........

Cones and BRIs

Postby Jackie C on Wed Apr 27, 2005 12:43 pm

I was wondering the same thing since I can use the weight ratio to my advantage-you bring out the scales and you scare most the ladies away! I'm in.

You had better come up with a better excuse than that, it is too easily fixed. Maybe to sun was in your eyes, the tires were gone, something abstract that can't be compensated for :P bye bye

Jockey weight

Postby Greg Phillips on Wed Apr 27, 2005 2:09 pm

Next thing you know we will have people lining up at the scales and having their weights added to their saddles (seats) before they mount their cars.
But it should work to my advantage, better bring two set of weights.

Fine, let's fix it  8) !

If we were to adjust for weight, I don't I would be the one searching for excuses......

Bring your own sunglasses, your own tires, your own excuses, and give them all to me when we're done. You'll find me on the podium holding 1st place, smack-talk boy. 8) (Oh, I'm in for it now ! Of course, I realize I'm verb-smacking the very guy who taught me how to drive.... I never said I was smart :? ! )

"I don't I"? You can't even type the trash talk young skywalker, more schooling for you this weekend

PS. I might even let you ride with me to watch how it is done if Tim has the passenger seat in! Ouch wouldn't that hurt the weight arguement :P

Okay. I'll concede a smack-talk defeat. But, the driving part.... well, we'll have to see about that.

As to a ride, I'm game. If I can see your line, I'll know where to gain a few tenths.

Either way, fun is in store for those who take the challange.....

Okay smack talkers...not to be left out. If the 2nd seat is in, and Dan and Jad pair up, I think a fair weight ratio would be Dente and me. So we have singles and pairs is that right? Bring it on~

I think that's fair, as long as Dente doesn't drive  . I'd suggest you get used to having Phil push on your right knee while you drive around the streets of Vista.  (You'll see what I mean if Dente gets in your car..... )
