transport service from Texas to SD

Postby satakal on Mon Jul 16, 2018 10:42 am

Seeking referral for vehicle transport.
I'm looking at a non-running car in Texas. I'd like to get it delivered to my driveway for cheap.
The candidate isn't pretty....not looking for "white glove" service.
I'm thinking around $500. How wrong are my expectations? Anyone you recommend I call?

I've shipped a half dozen cars one way or the other across the USA in the last 10 years. The cheapest for a running car: about $800. If you log on to one of those "get quotes" sites you will be bombarded with emails, phone calls and text messages. However, a NON running car is something totally excluded by most all of the shippers. BTW, most "shippers" are actually brokers or agents with NO trucks...they just get the order and try to find some guy/gal or company to haul the car. But in EVERY case for me, the car had to be running and driving. My suggestion: go to bringatrailer.com because logic says their links or advertisers must include firms willing and able to haul non-running vehicles. Good luck.

Try uship.com

Is a "marketplace" service.
I used it for transporting a trailer from the midwest to Escondido and it worked well
You post what you are looking for and get responses
YMMV
