Old Brake Rotors - How to dispose, or of use to anyone?

I have two sets of used/worn brake rotors from my Cayman. One stock drilled and one Sebro slotted. They are worn out from street and track use with some minor cracks (still mostly superficial).

Is there anything to be done with them as far as responsible disposal - is the metal of value to anyone? Or does anyone still re-surface them for or have use for them in a project?

Seems like a shame to just toss them and have them end up in a landfill...

You can try to take them to a metal recycler in your area but don't expect to get anything other than piece of mind knowing they wont be in a landfill.
We have a guy who takes ours at the shop as a courtesy when he gets the more valuable recyclables.
