Treffen Santa Barbara

Postby Old Guy on Wed Nov 28, 2018 8:16 pm

Can we start a thread on this topic? Who plans to or might attend? Do we wing it individually or is it SDR's custom to form some sort of attendee group and communicate accordingly?

How much closer to SDR can a Treffen get? (2019's is in Vermont!) Harry (who replied to my email question within a minute) tells me the registration fee info will be posted to the Treffen website "within the next week." (Personally, I'm inclined to book the hotel ahead via our Hilton account and absorb the cost difference re the Treffen special rate - so as to avoid the January rush for rooms plus have peace of mind...but that's another topic.)

As we get closer perhaps our IT experts can get a GroupMe going?

Top priority: Treffen experience. Perhaps folks that have attended one (or more) will speak up and tell us why we should/should not attend...???

And to answer the question nobody asked: no...I'm still not in California.

Harry now has all of the daily tours $$ and overall registration $$ information posted to the Treffen website. The many, very interesting daily tour choices will make it tough to choose which events to participate in. Or why not just hang out and do nothing all day...???

I hope some of you attend. For sure you'll have a good time. Our chapter's tour in May jumped to top priority re our PCA activities budget, so for us Treffen is out.
