Vince Knauf

I have just heard sad news from John Rickard and Skip Carter who have been lifelong friends of Vince.

For those unaware, Vince Knauf has been battling cancer for the second time in 5 years.
Unfortunately he succumbed to this terrible disease last night.

Vince & Cecelia were the model of what a PCA-SDR volunteer team looks like even before I joined PCA.
Deutsche Mark Weekend, PDS, CFoS, Cayenne tours and too much more to mention here.
He will be greatly missed but the Vince stories will live on forever.

When Vince and Cecelia first became members, the first thing they did was to volunteer to be our Region 'Social Chairs." Our Region would not be what it is today without both of them working as a team. He will be missed. GodSpeed Vince you were one of our best...

Doc, emotional photo tribute. Life goes round and round, like spinning Porsche wheels. In the end we are just "along for the ride". R.I.P. Vince. Love to ur family.

God's speed Vince.
You already know how exciting speed can be.
May you ride that ride forever and ever.
Peace be with you and your family.

Vince, you were one of the good guys, the kind that make our club what it is.
You will be missed.

I received this note from Skip Carter concerning Vince Knauf’s services:

Following up on Vince Knauf’s passing.
Vince has been cremated and the service for him will be held on Saturday, September 7th at noon.

The service will be held at the Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego.
After the service everyone is invited to the Knauf home (4860 Louise Dr, San Diego) for a celebration of life.
DiMille’s is catering.

There will be a Porsche procession after the service from Goodbody to Knauf home. It is a short drive, about one mile, depending on the route.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me, and please let anyone know who you think should be informed.

Thanks

So sorry, in retrospect, to hear of Vince's passing. I am live out off the area. I had know him since the good ole days, 1989 for me. All the best to Cecelia. Sorry I am so late with the condolences.

Just heard about Vince, very sorry to hear that he had died. Did not know him all that well but he was certainly a PCA San Diego guy and he will be missed. Our condolences to his wife.
