Wanted to buy: right rear trailing arm for 914/6-must be straight (or twisted for up to negative 2 degrees camber!)

I'm sure you know the 6 and 4 used the same trailing arm and you may get more response looking for any 914 rear trailing arm rather than one that came off a 6.

Go to the 914 used parts forum on Pelican Parts and search for "trailing arm." The URL is http://forums.pelicanparts.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=16

There's a guy selling some in the Bay Area from a '71 for $75 ea. with the stub axle and hub:

As Bob says, the trailing arm for the 6 is identical to the 4. Post a "Wanted to Buy" ad on the 914club website and I would bet you even money someone within the area or OC would have one for you fairly cheap.

If you don't have the stub axles, then that's a different story all together. Original 6 stubs are going for $600+ a set (if you can find them at all. They are quite rare) or you can get non-original knock-offs on the Pelican Parts website for about $450. Other knock-offs may be out there, but I haven't shopped around.

Good luck!

One other trick is to use 911 wheel flanges, hub flanges and trans flanges then have someone make up axles (I used Swayaway full floating). If you use early 911 stuff (69-70??) you can use Turbo size C-V's. This way you get stronger bits all the way for perhaps less $$$. Just a thought, the prices may have changed dramatically since I did this 18 years ago.

Slightly related...

Will a '74+ 911 stub axle and hub fit into a 914 arm?
