CLASSIFIED ADS WORKING????

Postby DonCostello on Sat Nov 16, 2019 2:00 pm

There is apparently no way to post a new ad on the classifieds. I have tried everything and contacted everyone and no one seems to know why it doesn’t work. I just want to sell some wheels and tires. Like new black 0Z Ultraleggera wheels with Hankook tires from 997 4S as previously listed here on the forum.Does anyone know the answer to how to post an ad?

Login and browsing the PCASDR Classifieds works for me using Firefox and Safari, but creating new ads doesn't work. IMO there is no doubt this old Classifieds site needs upgrading or replacing. A possible cause could also be that browsers have evolved while the Classifieds site hasn't. :)

I never understood why we were not allowed to post Ads on the forum anyway, most forums have a Classifieds section. With the Witness now only being published quarterly, maybe it's time.

I experienced the same posting problem.
Looking into both issues.
We will get back to you.

Martin / Steve
Thanks for confirming that I wasn’t just missing something. I too suspect that the classified portion of the website is just outdated for use with current browsers etc.

Some weeks ago I posted to our Classifieds website ads for car covers and a Doctor Colorchip item. There NEVER was a response UNTIL the hard copy magazine came out. Never. No comment from me other than to opine that as we move more to the web and less paper, everyone will need to adjust. Getting the magazine in the mail box is a hands on event. We read it and react accordingly. In the meantime, all on the internet only and until the quarter ends? Good luck.
