Seems almost wrong to have a topic attached to this series of posts! We where all over the map from the Cayman to a 944 spare tire, to Danica Patrick, then on to French guys and wine, and finally ending up somewhere around Jad's spelling while under the influence! So to summarize, I like the Cayman, there is no spare in my car, there is no way Danica is giving up 100 pounds to any driver (they are all 5'5''-5'8'' and 150 pounds or less) the most I could concede is 30-40 pounds. I personally prefer Johanisberg Reisling as a wine, and everybody's spelling is suspect at some point.

Weights

Postby Greg Phillips on Tue May 31, 2005 2:05 pm

According to the newspaper, Danica is lightest at 100 pounds and the heaviest is Sam Hornish Jr at 165 pounds, so the difference is 65# between lightest and heaviest
Iti is true that most of the "jockeys" are in the 135 to 150 pound range for IRL. I think Paul Tracy might be heavier.
Not sure about F1, but they are also fairly light, and usually short, although there is at least one over 6 foot.
NASCAR is the home of the big boys  although Jeff Gordon is not that big.

Back on topic...

Hey Chris H., when can we expect to see these in the US ready to test drive? Is it true they will bring a Clubsport/Cup varient to the US? If so, any ideas when?

F1 weights include the driver. After each race the cars are drained of fluid and weighed and the drivers and their gear are weighed seperately. The total weight is what is used.

Weights

So if we can get the new rule proposal passed about taking points off for weight over curb weight and then adding my driver's weight, I could be running street stock next year
