Hey guys the last time I heard about the Porsche/Penske motorsports news was a while back. I found some news on the main Porsche website that they will be releasing a new prototype to run sometime this year and in 2006. I was wondering if anyone had any further updates or comments on this?

There is an article in the latest Automobile magazine to hit the streets with a short interview of Roger Penske and his new association with Porsche and road racing. Question he really didn't answer was whether he was bailing out of IRL

I can't remember where I read it, but Porsche will be debuting a new LMP2 in 2 ALMS races at the end of the year (in preparation/testing for the 2006 season). One of which will be the Leguna Seca race. I'm going to be at Leguna Seca with RV (and maybe P-Car) in tow.

I'll have to see if I can't locate the article. Might be pretty cool to get a bunch of Porsche nuts together for a coral at that race.

Too bad there's nothing real recent. I'm gonna have to wait for that magazine article.

When I think of Porsche and LMP I picture 936's and 917/30s running around all over again...heh heh cool.
