Trailer for rent

Some of you have seen my car trailer over the last year or so, which has made trips to most of the major tracks around Cal. It's very near the perfect open top car trailer.

Well, since my wife and I have a baby coming, and a house remodel on the horizon, I am not planning on running any out-of-town events for awhile.

So I've been thinking, if I can't go to Willow, Laguna, or Buttonwillow, maybe I can live vicariously through my trailer.

Anyone interested in renting it for an out-of-town event, please contact me by e-mail at lewis@sdgalv.com.

Specs:
Dual axel.
Weight capacity, more than any Porsche.
Length, pretty darn long. Open center for easy vehicle servicing.
Height, relatively low deck for easy loading angle.
Ramps, direct rear slide out, 8'6" long, really easy, really sweet.
Fenders, removeable if you want to open the door on those low race cars.
Storage, locking toolbox on the front.
Spare tire, full-size. No being stranded.
Brakes, electrical. Requires brake controller.
Ball, 2". No further questions, please.
Electrical, newer 7-pin large round.
Tire rack? Yes, but it's removeable if you want to save weight/drag.
Weight, 1,600# without tire rack, 1,750# with.
Finish, GALVANIZED STEEL, BABY!!! :D

Rate: $50 to $100 for the weekend, depending on how long you need it, how long the tow is, etc...

Come on, rent my trailer, I need to buy diapers, formula, and a new room addition!

Thanks.

Lewis, Lewis, Lewis.................

Welcome to the PCA Daddy's Club! :P

Would I have ever considered selling my sporto-equipped 911S?
How about my poster collection?
Man,..............the things we do for our kids, huh?

You, Jad, and I should go down to Shakespeare's and have a beer sometime. I haven't had their fish and chips in a while.
I'm very happy for you........

Wish you the best!
(Our daughter is due in 3 weeks)

Dan,

There are a couple of U-Haul's really close by. Closest ones are:

2750 Kurtz St, San Diego, CA 92110
(619) 291-7295

3820 Midway Dr, San Diego, CA 92110
(619) 223-2131

There's also close by:
Budget Truck Rental
3883 Sherman Street, San Diego, CA 92110
(619) 222-1994

I don't know what they charge, or what their towing policies are, so feel free to investigate.

Thanks for the congrat's, Mike. And Timmy, congrat's on your upcoming 2nd. It is strange to see the sportomatic on track without you behind the wheel.

On to Shakespeare's!

-Lewis

Yeah, I still own half the chassis, but John Chambers has a 2.2 liter 5-speed in there now.
Also, if Lewis' trailer is being used and I don't need mine, you can rent my trailer, too. :D

Congrats on the baby Lewis!

As you can see, I have a Tinky Winky costume that I may be willing to trade you in rent for your trailer. What? You don't know who Tinky Winky is? Trust me, you will.

Might I remind Tim, Jad and Lewis that in this particular race, I am in the lead. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Jad, you better turn up the boost in your turbo if you want to catch up in this race! :D

Based on your picture  , you are not leading anything, maybe your wife has reached adulthood and is raising '3' kids, but you certainly are not

No boost needed here, teletubbies are sooooo last week!

HA! You guys know that Tinky-Winky is gay, right? Not that there's anything wrong with that! (Seinfeld). But come on, the triangle over his head, the purse............it's a given.
Teletubbies, Zaboomafoo, Aurthur, and now Boo Bah.............These shows are your friends, Lewis. :P

Oh, yeah, My kid's gonna drive faster than your kid!

Naughty noo-noo!

Pssst, Tim.........we know That's what made the costume even funnier. I wore it right around the time that all the controversy was going. My sis-in-law, who plays for a different team, not that there's anything wrong with her team, suggested it would be hilarious if I wore it.

Don't forget Dora The Explorer, my son walks all around the house speaking Spanish that he has learned on Dora. He thinks he is going to marry Dora. He's still at that wonderful age where he thinks he can marry a cartoon character. I remember thinking I was going to marry Polly Purebred, Underdog's girlfriend.

Just imagine poor Jad's dissapointment when at 18 he finally came to the realization that he and Yosemite Sam could never realize marital bliss.

So does anyone want to rent my stinkin' trailer or what?!

Funny how such a simple thread as "rent my trailer" turns into a heated discussion of costumes and potential marital ties with a 2 dimensional image.

As my good friend, Art Vandelay once said,
"ga-geuh, ga-geuh, that's all folks."

I love this club...

PS: you know you want to rent my trailer. Repeat after me "I want to rent Lewis' trailer. I want to give money to Lewis. Lewis is my friend. Trailers are good. Renting Lewis' trailer is good for me and good for the economy. Marriage to a cartoon character is bad because it might keep me from renting Lewis' trailer."

How about a Classified Ad?

Guys, just put an ad in the Witness and Website's "Trailer" section -

http://www.pcasdr.org/classifieds/index.html

For less than the price of the "half-caf fat-free latte" you had this morning, you can post a picture for 3- months! If you're really nice, I might create a "Rentals" section.
