Time to register for PCASDR Time Trial at Wilow

Hi folks,

Time to fax or mail in your registrations for the July 30-31, 2005 time trial at the main track at Willow Springs. Experience at Willow is a must for all SoCal drivers as this is our reference track. It's also a reference for anyone who likes to go fast since the average speed for even low horsepower cars is in the 90s. Fortunately, run off is relatively open on most corners. Frankly, novices are probably safer at this track than anywhere, since it is wide open. Once you're really up to speed, tho', every corner is a high speed challenge. If you're new, make sure you get a ride with an experienced instructor in a high hp car. You'll never be the same!

Some worry about the heat at Willow in summer. Ah, don't worry. The lunch room is well air conditioned, and the garages stay cool; you'll be fine. There's so much air flowing over your car at relatively low revs that overheating is not usually an issue; your car will be fine, too. Buttonwillow at 80 degrees is worse than Willow in the 90s.

Anyway, late registration date is July 15; after that late fees apply to everyone.

See you there,
Jack
