Here's is the first posting of photos from what has become a world-class concours: http://www.infive.com/DanaPoint/

In years past, we'll have 70 to 80 356's. This Sunday there was 130 - hardly room to park them all! Some very special and unique cars. Lots of Porsche history- that's the owners and the cars. These guys have been around Porsches since the 50's. Lots of great stories.

Henry,

Nice photos! Thanks for sharing them. Who owns the Carrera GT?

Well Ted, it's funny of all the cars, you ask about that one. That's also the one I pointed out to my son. Only at a 356 concours would a new GT not get much notice.
The unrestored '56 Carrera Coupe, owned by the DuPont family, was far more interesting. Or the '59 GT Speedster - complete with original aluminum doors and lids - only 16 made. Then there was the RS60 Spyder and Carrera Abarth. there several 356's of '52 & '51 vintage.
No, sorry, I didn't ask who owned the new GT.

A Carrera GT at a 356 meet? Who let that riff-raff in?!
I'm enjoying working on a 1954 Coupe with John Chambers up in Leucadia. Those cars are so simple. Simple, but really cool.

The older they are, the better they were built. You would've really enjoyed Dieter Vongehr's '51 split window. Working Telefunken radio, the wood window sills, carpeted front storage and the vinyl covered engine bay. Those were truly elegant cars.
