Changes to your profile

As some of you are aware for the last month or so our forum has been abused by parties unknown for spamming objectionable content to our members. Earlier today we implemented a solution which should eliminate this problem. However, it meant adding a little inconvenience to our members legitimately using the user profile, and for that we apologize. Hopefully, at some point in the future we will be able to implement a solution that will be less of an inconvenience on our members.

If you would like to change the value in the "Website" field in your user profile please send an email to webmaster@pcasdr.org with your forum username and the URL. We will be reviewing these URLs before posting them to make sure they work and are not objectionable.

I'll never understand why a few miscreants persist in trying to spoil the on-line world for their own misguided purposes. Your countermeasure creates more work for you, while introducing a very minor inconvenience for the rest of the users. It is unfortunate, but it appears that such a defensive step is necessary.
