Kinesis F110's on my 997...

Postby rss996 on Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:49 pm

I was at Kinesis Motorsport last Fri. for a photo shoot with my 997 and the F110's.

These wheels are gorgeous and save you "unofficially" about 30 lbs unsprung weight at the corners.

Peter and Allen over there are great guys and they seeem to run a great operation with a great product.

Enjoy the pics![/img]

To be honest, I liked the people at Kinesis as well, but have been very disappointed with the rims. The chrome (or whatever material the rim is) corrodes or rusts terribly and looks horrible after 6 months with the rims and they are washed regularly. Anyone else have this problem with their rims?

Jad -

I actually just purchased a set about 2 months ago and I have already noticed the same thing! Now i'm really nervous, because I just ordered another set

Have you tried any chrome cleaners?

I have tried waxes without success, but have not gotten the more aggressive cleaners yet. I doubt the chrome can handle them every month or two anyway. I am hoping someone has a good solution.

The Kinesis folks are nice people to work with from a customer perspective and from a vendor/resale perspective. Very helpful and they have keen knowledge.
