I know that there will be those that are up in arms about this, however, I am one of those that believe that selling cars like this (and the pepper) strengthens the company and ultimately improves the cars that I am interested in (997S, GT3, Cayman, etc.). You may cry all you like about the delution of the breed, but who could dispute that Porsche is currently manufacturing some of the best cars it has made in the last 10 years? Aircooled vs. Watercooled arguments notwithstanding. I feel the health and continued viability of the company, which to date has been turbo-charged by the success of the pepper, will continue to yield a finer breed of cars for the enthusiast. Further, if these diversions from the "heritage of Porsche" make it possible to fund a return to motorsports, save me a seat on the Panamera bandwagon.

I like it and would certainly consider buying one, but then again, my tastes in Porsche seem a bit contrary to many on the forum :?

It is nice but why do they make them all look the same? I guess BMW is doing that with 3,5,7 series all looking the same at a glance.

I can only assume the price will be outrageous and maybe even charge 400 for a set of floor mats!

I heard they fired all the design guys so to be safe all new cars are a combination of existing designs (not really).
