Should be fun, I hope the AX'ers clean the lot for us on Saturday

Bill: I'll see if I can run in the same group with you, and maybe get John K. in there with us. 8) With the video cam running, I should get some nice footage of you and John dicing it up! Let's hope my car is finished today, so I can break in the re-build!

See you Sunday. :burnout:

I have heard that the DE tech is much more thorough than the standard AX tech (besides checking for the extra saftey requirements -- 5 pt harness, fire ext, etc). If so, for those of us that are doing both, can we request that the tech at the AX on sat do an extra checking over to make sure our cars are ok for the DE as well? That would at least give us a day to fix any problems without having to miss the DE.

I am really looking forward to this weekend as well, will be my first DE.

Dan,
Rumor has it we might be able to have a 944 run group...I also have in car video, so I can get the up front stuff, while you get the guys trailing the spec cars. Yeah, you heard me...

Alan-
Besides the safety equipment issues, we do look for more brake pad and tire tread for a DE as opposed to an autox, as well as working brake lights, which aren't checked at an autox. Just ask your inspector to give your car a look for the DE stuff when you are in line for tech at the autox, and you should be able to avoid any surprises.

Looks like I'm popping the cherry on my new motor @ WSIR on Sat. and barring any major issues, I'll be there on Sun. May I respectfully request the club's db meter be present on Sunday? Strictly for me, I'm sure Johnny's car'll make sound

BTW...whose makin' the cool avatars ala TTweed and Steve G??? Enquiring minds wanna know.

ttweed wrote:I will be at both the autox and DE, since for $100 it is the best bang-for-the-buck weekend the club offers, and I also have to run Tech in the morning anyway. I will drive the GS '67S in the autox for sure, because it's a Zone event, but I don't know which car I will bring on Sunday. It might be nice to break the '73 out of hibernation and exercise it a little with the AM boyz...

Update: The "white water-bucket/Monterey Cheese block" is back in the stable and ready for action. I'll have the video camera ready, and the slippery street tires to run so lots of "hangin' it out there" for me. :roflmao:

Thanks to Neal at LDM for finishing my car in time!! :beerchug:

John Kinkaid, Jackie Corwin, Bill Addy ... it's time to par-taaah! :beerchug: :burnout:

See you all Sunday!

It's anybodies game Dan.
My tire shipment got stuck in Ohio (Don't even ask!) so I am running on leftovers from WSIR and BW. Probably won't even make it to the end of the day
