Joel Bowman says Hi & the rumors of my demise.......

Postby ZombiePorsche44 on Sun Sep 11, 2005 3:05 pm

The rumors of my demise we're somewhat exaggerated........

I'm posting this for those of you who have been around for a few years as a way to put these nasty rumors to rest and introduce myself to newer members.

After being Porscheless for the last six years I'm proud to announce that I'm the new (second) owner of a very beautiful 1995 993 coupe in Iris Blue & Cashmere/Black two tone. The car was well maintained by the first owner and like all good Porsches should do, it spent it's first two weeks on the AutoBahn after a Stuggart delivery.
It has great options including Limited Slip, but, is still at US ride height so please, no Paris/Dakar jokes when we meet at a Tech session or Auto-X.

I chose the ZombiePorsche44 so me & my new #44 could rise from the dead with a dignified title (it's actually kind of stupid but it's all I could think of at the time)

Anyway, It's great to be back in the club and I look forward to meeting new and seeing old friends.

Sincerely,
Joel Bowman (formerly famous/infamous Mexican Race Car Piloto of the Flightline Racing #44 911SC targa)

Hi Joel-
Welcome back to Porschedom. I remember you well as one of my first time trial instructors 7, or was it 8 years ago, now? I recall being disappointed I didn't get to ride with you in your #44 Targa because you had a crossbrace from the roll cage running down thru the passenger area. :(

You mentioned sport aviation and getting into stunt aerobatics the last time I saw you. Still doing that? I didn't hear the rumors of your demise... were they interesting and provocative, at least? :)

Hope to see your new 993 at one of our upcoming events. They can always use instructors at the driving school on Oct. 8th & 9th. Come on down!

Hey Joel,

TT's recall of your Targa days got my interest. I need to hear all I can about hustling a Targa around the AXs and DEs before I move up to TT.

Looking forward to meeting you...welcome back!

Thanks for the Howdy! Unfortunately, I'm out of town the weekend of the Driving School which is dissapointing at best.

I did let Steve Dente know I'm available to instruct at DE, TT's & AX's in the future so be assured that you will be seeing me soon at a track near you.

Till then, keep the shiney side up!

Cheers,
Joel.

Well, you did have a 3.0 liter compared to my puny little anemic 2.7.......and it isn't like I wasn't trying hard! Scraped the wall with my right rear wheel. Man, that was a fun track layout. :D
