Rules Question on sway bars

Postby ronaldtrotter on Sat Aug 25, 2007 7:12 pm

The rules read that a non-stock sway bars are 2pts. It is worded "Non-stock sway bars 2pts." Is that 2 pts a bar or 2 pts for each bar front and back = 4pts.

It is two points if there are any changes to the stock sway bars. If you choose to change one or both ends it is still two points.

But what if the non-stock swaybars were available as an option for that model/year ... for instance, a 944 S2 with a M030 option has a larger bar front and rear. Let's say that car is running in JS class (imagine that :) ) against my 944 which didn't have the M030 option.

As I read the rule: I am not allowed to add those bars unless I install every single part that made up the total M030 option for a 944. If this is true, then I am stuck with 2 points to add bars to my Cab to compete against someone in my class who is not billed 2 points with those same bars.

Is life fair? :roflmao: NOT

Sometimes you get kissed, sometimes you get bitten.

I felt that every car weight is based on the base model seemed a little unfair also.
