Steve,
I pulled the turbo and it looked good, although I am having it checked out anyway. I also pulled the oil separator and it is okay. Typically, what I find in both my turbo's, and from others that I have spoken with on the issue, there is always some oil in the intake system.
When we replaced the head gasket a few weeks ago and started the engine, once we gave it throttle it it started smoking under rev's. Did it for about 1/2 hour and then quit. We thought maybe we dropped a bit of oil down the crossover pipe when the head came off. I took the whole intake system off including the intercooler and cleaned it up. It did not smoke at thunderhill, but I di wind up blowing the connector off the hard pipe to the throttle body. That may have sucked a lot of oil into the system.
I am going to install an oil breather system made by Lindsey and hopefully that will help at least the minor oil. This was not minor however as it even flooded the boost module with oil.
Thanks for the reply (s)
Mike
