I have a 1998 993 S that I am considering upgrading to a turbo engine (and other various required parts). I'm just starting into it and would appreciate any advice/thoughts, including a recommendation for a local (Southern Cal - LA, OC, SD) shops.
Thanks in advance.

I would have to say your best bet would be sell the 993S and buy a turbo. You will save a lot of time, money, and hassel and have a much better investment.
The shops to consider in SD that come to mind are Mind Over Motorsports, Dieters, Blackforest or Mirage - check the Witness to see if I missed any....

I am assuming your car is a 993 C2S?
There is a reason they made the turbos AWD.
That would be a very fun car to drive if you are well versed in throttle on oversteer.
But I would have to agree with Jad. Carrera S's are very valuable and you could do the complete car upgrade for less than the price of upgrading the C2S to twin turbo powerplant.
And a 993TT is such a great all around car!
Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback. I also checked with a local shop and got the same advice. I'll continue to do more research but it looks like the best bet is to replace with a 993 TT...or do other modifications to get more hp.
Thanks again.
