Wheel Paint/Color

The wheels on the 2001 Boxster I just purchased seem pretty dingy on the inside, as well as lots of residue from previous wheel balancing. Once I have cleaned all the gunk off the wheels, the inside could probably use a repaint to look good again. What color do I use, and more importantly where do I get it from?

Thanks

Mike

There is a special paint that the germans use, I believe it is called Wurthe Silver wheel paint (brain isn't fully functioning yet). Available via the internet for about $10 from most autoparts stores in a spray paint can. Works pretty well, just cleaning the wheel and spraying it on. Should be fine for the insides, but for the outside, you also need the clearcoat for a real factory look.

Wurth is the OEM paint for Porsche wheels . I have used their trim paint and it is a perfect match. These guys also sell the clearcoat

Another good place for wheel paint is APP( Automotive Paint Products) just down 17th from Dieter's.
