All cars being slightly different, I think you might have to experiment a little (not like you won't have enough laps for that
)
With the 944 on street tires (Kuhmo, Yokahama, now Hankooks), I usually start my tires at around 32-Lbs. cold, and warm them up to around 34 to 35 lbs hot. HOWEVER: we're talking about a 3100Lbs car, with the engine in the front/trans in the rear (neutral weight ratios), and a loose nut behind the steering wheel.
For a 911 or 914-6 the optimum hot tire pressures may be different ..... and I'd guess a little less pressure. So, maybe start them at 30 to 31 lbs cold, and be prepared to let a little air out as they get hot? That would be my approach.
Then again, I have water-on-the-brain
.
I'll see you there, with my street tires, too.

just a "well prepared" street car ... or a very, very well-mannered track car."
