Anybody ever built one? Where would I find the requirements?

Do the research, take a look at what one looks like. (993 tanks are involved)
This is not a DIY project.

You wouldn't make your own 6-point harnesses...
Besides, it must be made to set standard and if it is a "fuelsafe" brand, tech inspection will know it is Ok.
If it looks "Non-standard" you may not pass tech...

Does look pretty involved. The factory tank looks like a simple plastic cell, and I thought it might be fairly easy to plumb something aluminum in. I like the thought of moving fuel weight forward and down, but I know that Fuelsafes cost over $4000 plus plumbing. It was just a thought...
