I am trying to drop some weight and thought that an easy way to lose 20lbs or so would be in switching out the stock battery for a lightweight gel. I know someone out there has some great advice for which brand/model and CCA guidelines.

Thanks for the help

I like this battery

And this hold down

Then I make an aluminum plate to bolt the hold down to and drill a hole in the one end to go over the stock battery hold down stud. Then it drops right into the stock battery tray clamp.
Remember, never drill into the battery tray! There are computers on the other side that can get wet if you make a hole.

Just one opinion, I am sure there are many more.

I have used the 680 and 545, I would recommend going no smaller than the 680 model...the teeny one is just too weak for most engines.
