What kind of maintenance do brake calipers require and how often?

Are there any special products or high temperature grease required?

Martin:

Looks good.

Does this mean you'll be disassembling your calipers, maybe starting tomorrow about noon? :roflmao:

:D Tonight, I will start working on the calipers and a couple of other things to get it ready for the Club Race at California Speed and Las Vegas.

I already canceled my registration for Streets. I better be safe than sorry and having to tow the car back home the first day.

Have fun at Streets, I wish I could be there. I am guessing the track will be a little faster and easier on the suspension with the new yellow gators.

Martin - I saw you registered for club racing at CFOS. You will have a great time but make sure you are 100% ready for tech. Jackie C had a nightmare last year. Also, later in April POC has their first race clinic of the year at Willow which you might consider. Give me a call if you want to discuss.

Thanks Pete. Yes, I am following the rules by the book :D and I will even bring a copy with me to tech just in case.

My car has a few things which POC rules won't allow. But my goal this year is the PCA Club race license and maybe NASA.

The main thing is the location of cut of switch device, it may also need a built-in fire extinguisher system and window nets all around. I may find other-things which need to be changed once I read the POC rules.

Let's take this offline - I will send you an email.
