Azenis Tire Match?

Postby Awolf on Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:42 pm

I would like to start running Falken Azenis on my 944 but they seem to be only offered in a 205/50 series. My question is, Will these tires fit on a 15X8in rim in the back and a 15X7 in the front? Will stretching them out hinder their sidewall strenght and possibly lead to a blowout? If anyone has any suggestions online or offline for good deals on these tires it would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

A 205 will fit on both a 7 & 8 inch rim, the 8" is a bit wider than suggested, but I wouldn't worry about it. Check out the tirerack.com for the specs on other similar tires for more info, but 5.5 to 7.5 is 'recommended' for most 205/15's. I have run 1/2" off without any problems, though, I am usually too big for the rim. YMMV.

The best place I have found is Import Tire downtown. A little scary to look at, but they do excellent work on many members cars for a very good price.
