Ron, it depends on whether you are using a 5 or 6-point harness. For a 5-point, with single anti-sub strap, the Schroth site says: "Anti-submarining strap routing in any seating position must follow the tangential touching of the occupant’s chest and groin. Such routing is a compromise to help reducing the risk of crotch and groin injuries during a frontal impact." This may result in the anchor point being slightly in front of the sub-hole in your seat, following the 20° or so lay-back angle of your torso (and thus your shoulder straps) down to the floor.ronaldtrotter wrote:I have looked all over and can't find information about the correct placement of the sub belt. What angle should the sub belt be to the seat and driver.
Tim Comeau wrote:Yeah, the Schroth info is the best I've seen. I have a CD from them. It even has video of a shoulder harness failing to restrain after not being positioned or locked down correctly.
