Carpet Glue

Postby pdy on Fri Oct 10, 2008 8:15 am

Oh Boy, "Snickers" is gonna get fuzzy on the inside.

Please post any recommendations for quick-n-easy adhesive for installing carpet (non-concours). I have 3M weatherstrip adhesive - "Yellow Snot",
although I think they only make it in black now. That seems like a slow, stinky process. Spray adhesives - but which one - Wurth? Anything good
available in cartridges for a caulking gun?

TIA

Contact UFO in National City and ask them what they recommend. They stock most carpets and glues.

Try 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. It works with most carpet and fabric and is easy to apply. Just mask off any areas that you don't want to get overspray on. I have some commercial carpet adhesives, but I wouldn't recommend troweling them on inside your car.
