Should I use these KONIs?

Postby gocart on Mon May 11, 2009 5:48 pm

I just received a pair of new 8210 1159sport Konis to use on the rear of my '71 911, which has been lowered and has 28 mm torsions. In the picture you can see that the new yellow sport shock is LONGER than the Koni red classic 80K 2088 that was on my car.

As you can see in the picture the new yellow shocks are LONGER than the Koni red shock by almost an inch, even though the sport yellows are advertised as having a shorter body than the stock shock.
I believe the yellow sport shocks will limit my wheel travel especially since my car has been lowered.
What are your opinions? Anyone have experience using these? What am I missing?

Thanks,
Gordon
