Courtney's in Chula Vista is cheaper and they fix customers flats for free. Try them if you are near Chula Vista. They have been in Chula for years and are family owned and run. Ask for Dan or Neil.

If you don't live in Chula Vista :burnout: - Then Bears is great! :roflmao:

I have used them and C2 since Imported Tire was forced out of business. :banghead:
They do a great job and do not mind you bringing in tires for them to mount. And - they are careful with the wheels, unlike &%$#@@!. :x
If you have a particularly fussy job, C2 is great. They will balance to 0.1 grams and not scratch a rim.

I'd go to Bears if I were closer.
I've known Mike the owner of Bears for 30 years, good guy. 8)

Closer to home in In La Mesa Prestons.

No issue recently with 4k in vintage tires on some expensive rims.
Wayne, Randy and Luis run the front, ask for Ronnie to do your work.
Tell'm you want the tall Mike deal and you saw the folded slick slide show on the PCA forum.

Same here, and Preston's got a better deal. And, he owns an RS. Richard should get him in the Witness...

I've had good luck with Bear's and C2. C2 is closer, and I've had better luck with balance issues and remarkable (as in ... while you wait/shop) service. The cost was the same: $16.00/wheel at C2, $16.00/wheel at Bears. When paying cash, the sales tax benefits were .... ahem, evident.

I've found Steve at C2 to be a good source of competition info: he's an avid competitor. He's also a Toyo Dealer ... how convenient!

PS - Geez, Tall Mike. You really made those big fellas work!

I called all over San Diego for a place that would get me close to Tire Rack prices (factoring in shipping). C2 came in close too but was $35 more.
Thank you all for the suggestions. Before I read this post I almost settled on a Firestone dealer near my house who wanted $120 more than what I ended up paying for the same tires.

Two of us "993 spec series competitors" just bought tires / mounting / balancing from Steve @ C2.
I'd go there again.

C2 is great. Sure Bear might be alittle cheaper but if you have a wheel that is more expensive than a 13 inch Honda wheel then you might like how careful Steve at C2 is. Never a scratch! NEVER! and no job is too tough. You can trust Steve and Ron at C2 with your prized wheels.
Plus, while you wait there is a showroom full of saftey gear, fluids, there are video game consoles with racing games you can play if you have them turn it on for you. And, if nothing else, Steve is a pleasure to talk to. always nice and lots of information and in the few years I have known him, he has always made time for EVERY customer.
