Properly putting the numbers on the car

Postby bryanearll on Sun Dec 12, 2004 5:51 pm

OK, this may seem like a really lame post, but is there some kind of protocol for position of the numbers on the car for AX, DE, etc.?

Class, then Race Number or Race Number then Class? High or low position or drivers choice?

Second question: Do you guys normally put the numbers on the car at the event or at home. It seems like driving with them to an event is just begging for trouble.

Third question: Any interesting technique to apply the numbers to get them even and in the right position?

Doesn't matter, as long as they're very visible to course workers and the T&S trailer.

I've seen both. I wait until I get there.

Eyeball by stepping back a bit. Tape the leading edge even if you have strong magnetics. They tend to peel off at speed.
