Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! No one knows for sure what lurks beneath the surface of the Dark Side (Black decklid, anyway). Is it larger? Is it newer? Is it better? You'll find out!

Darth Vadar said something like: "Do not resist the power of the Dark Side." ... and it's all about power.

Those of you accustomed to running up my backside at DE's and TT's ... check your mirrors. :roflmao: Think: V710's, high torque, 915 gearing ... light weight. There could be a need for some of you to practice your point-bye technique. :burnout:

Sounds fun, but I think you are about 1 step from becoming a drifter...

You started with:

944, no power, great balance then
SC, some power, ok balance, now
3.6, power, not much balance, next
DRIFTING, lots of power, no balance :banghead:

I think you will have completed the cycle! :beerchug:

 Hmmm. Sounds familiar.

Let's see, since I've know you:
Red 944: no power great balance
Black 951 (early stages) some power, okay balance
Black 944 (Darth Vadar version) lots of power, so-so balance
996 Challenge Race Car ....

And there were 914's and other cars in your past, no?

Any chance I may have learned the path by example? :roflmao:

As for drifting, I need to get with  Greg Phillips for some mentoring. :beerchug:

Stay tuned, more to come ....

Well I'm hopin' I deserve it.( Seems I've earned plenty of good-humored grief from these drivers already.) You'll know if it's me in your mirrors. It's that black car that used to be a bookshelf in your garage. :burnout: :bigcry:

With any luck I may have it out for the Feb AX, depending on scheduling ...

:banghead: Hate those parts delays ... Okay, so I'll be show-casing it at the PDS. All you Instructors out there should volunteer to help out at the Spring PDS. I'll give rides at the end of the day on Sunday. :burnout: :beerchug:

BTW: I still have a beautiful 3.0 with fresh SSI's/Dansk, pop-off valve, Carrera Tensioners, etc, etc, just waiting for some lucky early 911 to wear. Ya know, this 3.0 would work great in a 914, too. Or a Renegade 356, or...

Okay, don't push, don't shove. Let's be civil out there. One at a time ...

Dan,
You should post it on Pelican as well if you haven't already. However you can get 3.2's all day for about 4-6k with harness, DME etc depending on condition. I have also seen 3.6's for 6-8k.

good luck with the sale!

Thanks, Dan. I'll look into the Pelican and Rennsport listings.

As for 3.2, and 3.6's: true. However, there is a market ... albeit rare ... for the 3.0 for the long-hood crowd. From a 2.2 or 2.4 to a 3.0 is a snap.

There's also the potential for an SC owner with a blown engine or broken head-studs to buy my perfectly running (and expertly back-dated exhaust and heating system) 3.0 for half the price of their rebuild. for someone who's parked their blown SC, this is a quick and reasonable resurrection for getting it back on the street and driving again. Oh, but you already know this.

See you Sat.
