2001 996 2nd gear keeps Bleeping Popping Out!!

So what is up with my 996's 2nd gear?
Driving School, my first AX and this SUCK's. You can't post a great time if the engine isn't connected to the wheels.
I looked up tech issues on the 996 cars and there was something about 2002+ cars having a similar problem.
Symptom - This almost always occured after a long straight with me burying the brakes before the big corner. No foot on the clutch, I'm driving an "automatic" 20-80mph.
