Burning CDs for 2005 Boxster CDR24 Stereo?

I have been trying to use iTunes to burn some CDs to listen to in my 2005 Boxster. Car has stock CDR24 stereo system. I have tried every format that iTunes allows you to burn and the stereo just wont recognize them as audio CDs. Every other player in the house recognizes them as audio CDs - two different PCs, a blaster, a Blu-Ray Home theater, etc. etc. Why not the Porsche?

The earlier Porsche radio does not read .mp3 or .wav formats.... And ITunes does not provide tracks in true CD format...

No compatibilities between ITunes and the customers older players. BUT, the Rhapsody service does provide original CD-formats so you might get compatibility from that service...

I've seen many older CD players that just can't read home burned discs and will only work with mass produced discs. If your audio format CDs are working in other players then this is probably your issue, you might try a different brand of blank media. I have good luck with older DVD players with this issue when changing media to a different colored blank disc (the recording side).

iTunes uses their own formats. I would get a third-party CD burning utility (like Nero, if available for Mac), and burn it as an ISO standard single-session disc. A lot of older players don't like multi-session and rewriteable discs.

Porsche engineers spent millions of dollars and tons of time in specially built studios to get the exhaust note just right. For playing the best tunes, turn down the stereo and run the engine at around 5500 or higher rpm. That's the best music you'll hear in a Porsche.
