:) FIRST GAS STATION

The first drive-in gas station was built in 1913. The Gulf Refining Co. opened its first station in Pitsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood. On December 30, the first day of business, only 30 gallons of "Good Gulf" gas were sold, costing a mere 27 cents per gallon. The average cost to fill up a 12 gallon tank was about $3.25.

The first ever stolen car was reported in St. Louis in 1905.
