Hi beams stuck on - bad dimmer switch?

In the "project car,"(911SC 1979) the headlights are stuck in hi-beam. Lights themselves are good. Fuses good. Switch moves normally but doesn't change anything. Anybody had this before? Anything else to check besides the switch on the column?
Thanks.

After you replace the high beam switch...
A relay kit would take the load off the tiny contacts in the high beam switch.

The realy kit certainly can't hurt, but is manditory if you have oversized bulbs in the car like 80/100w H4 or H5's.

Good call Mike.

Looks like the relay ($25) would be bargain protection against having to replace the switch a second time ($137 -- ouch!).
