OBC Error After Smog Test Dyno

Postby kcheves on Fri May 30, 2014 3:15 pm

I had my 2009 C2S smog tested today. Car passed the test, but is now throwing an error message on the OBC to visit the workshop due to a Dynamic Cornering Light Failure.

The smog tech warned me that PSM would have been confused by the dyno (rear wheels spinning - front wheels not) and that an error code was likely, with the suggestion to drive several miles and it would clear.

What concerns me is that the fault is not related to the PSM. Does anyone know if this is normal? My attempts to Google this have failed, and I could find nothing in the National PCA Tech Q&A section related to this. My dynamic headlights appear to be functional, as they do their little dance on startup.

Thanks,

Kit

My 06 C2S had no issue. My Audi did have the error from the speed sensors being confused. The lights should not be affected but I would take 2-3 trips before calling the dealer to make sure the computer has time to figure things out. It is embarrassing showing up with a working car.
