No doubt, the packaging is awesome. Just curious about Porsche recommending a full synthetic for the 3.0L and 3.2L models.

Eyes wide open. We're seeing something transitional but significant with the recent Porsche "company" move into retro products and parts. As an aside, our '85 Carrera runs on natural 20-50 (currently Castrol). And it leaks...here and there. Do I really want to move to Porsche-branded oil? But to the bigger picture, if you sell Porsche parts or do restorations: look out. It's the internet age. All's open; no secrets. PCNA pushed by the Mother Ship is trying to take back as much of the classic model restoration, parts supply, even service work...that it can. Fair warned is fair armed.

Update on our '85 Carrera. After MRD changed the valve cover gaskets and the oil return tubes: guess what? NO oil leaks. But still the question remains: changing to Porsche's synthetic 10-60 oil? I want to hear from someone who's actually done so. Changers: please let us all know how it went. Thanks.
