Restoration Shop Recommendation?

I have a good friend living in Manhattan Beach who through a family "departure" came into a 912 "barn find" coupe that sat for many, many years. It is not a rust bucket (we're in California), but it was stored near the coast. He is not (yet) a PCA member. He's asking me for recommendations for a reputable shop in the LA/Orange County area that could be entrusted to take the car in for restoration work. Color change involved: originally red but the relative repainted it yellow. It does not run, but is complete with all parts...even tires that hold air. He is not on a shoe string budget, but is very value-conscious.
Suggestions? Recommendations? Thanks.
