997.1 airbag system fault after dead battery

After recharge of a dead battery the airbag system warning light has failed to go out on my 2008 997. Does it need a dealer visit to clear the fault or should I just wait for some self correction to eventually occur? The PSM failure light went off a few minutes after starting. Appreciate any thoughts. :?:

I think it does have to be reset, but you don't have to go to the dealer for it. Most Indy shops can reset it for you, or a friend with a Durametric system.

After some bodywork that had the battery disconnected on Katrin's 2005 Boxster, the airbag light stayed on as well. Took it up to Jae Lee at Mirage who hooked it up to the laptop. There were no faults showing, so he cleared it. However, it stayed on until I drove home, but then went out, and hasn't been back on since.

Good luck!
