Chris Thompson has one. I'll ask him to chime in.

BTW they are discontinuing the 3500 model so they are on sale. Good if you only need to support 3500lbs.

Yup, Robert is correct. I ordered my 5000 (AC version) before the first batch was available. Great tool. Not sure why they would discontinue the 3500 unless few people are buying the smaller unit. I think every model BMW is over 3500LBS. C6 Corvettes are right at 3500. My BL-5000 will lift anything from my smallest car ('99 Miata) to my wife's Expedition with ease.

FYI, Bendpac told me they test them at 1-1/2 times the rated capacity. So a 3500 is actually tested to 5250LBS. These lifts are plenty stout and stable. My Yamaha iS2000 generator barely even notices the pump load so you could run it with a very small generator.

How about car stackers?
I have a friend who just moved and lost a car space.
Needs to stack the toys; a 997S and Audi R8.
Like this but with cooler cars.

Chris, did you mean to say QuickJack when you said Bendpak?

Stacker would be great, but our garage only has about 9' of clear space. My jack use: mainly at home; not the track like you guys apparently favor. I also want to be able to hang the wheels. As for the garage, a low profile unit has appeal so the cars can roll in over it, without worry.

Thanks for the input. Good stuff!

Jim

Bendpak is Ranger and QuickJack is "by Ranger". Same folks. I also wish my garage ceiling was high enough for a full lift. I also have more cars than garage space.

I just now bought the SUV and Light Truck adapter to make it an even more versatile tool. By the way, Jim. I purchased the BL-5000 and the SUV adapter from Summit Racing. I buy much from them. They have been a very trustworthy mail order supplier with consistently best price, free shipping and no sales tax.
