readiness monitors

I had a CEL a week or so ago and got P300, P301 and P303 codes. They are misfire codes.
Cleared the codes and replaced the coil packs.

Still not 100% sure it was the coil packs and not an temporary injector issue.

No other codes present or cleared

In any case, I have 2 monitors that have not reset;
Catalyst and Evap system

I have driven the car a bit and even did an AX a few days ago.

How do I get the the monitors to reset and show ready?

Drive it more, it takes a long time and not AX driving.
Very low speed freeway driving.
Low engine load, not actual MPH.
1400-2800 RPM.

When you have a code like that you switch coil packs bad with good, clear codes and see if the fault follows the coil.
In your case just switch left to right sides.
If the coils were bad you would get codes P300, P304 and P306

How long do I need to drive at 1400-2800 RPM to get it to reset?

do a search on the interwebs for "BMW drive cycle".
I used it successfully for many years on the 993

The drive cycle on a Porsche is much harder than a BMW; the BMW drive cycle is just much easier to complete.
Try this:
Drive in 10 minute cycles 1400-2800 Rpm in 5-6 gear as slow as you can drive in light traffic.
If you stop or go out of RPM range the cycle resets the timer.
After 5-6 cycles you will probably have it.
For evap you must have 1/3-2/3 of a tank of fuel.
Start the car cold and let it idle for 10 minutes with lots of accessories on. (lights, A/C or heater)
Do the same at the end of the drive cycle.

You will probably have to complete the evap before the cat sequence will start.

Good Luck

Thanks Steve

The only one not reset is evap, all my other ones are fine
Does it have to cool down completely, or can I do the drive cycles sequentially on 1 longer drive either stopping or going out of the RPM range

Do this each morning and evening and you should have it in a few days.
