Lowering 911 Driver Seat - Cars and Coffee Jan 9th

I have been reading lots of threads on people lowering their driver's seat (SC and Carrera) to get some additional headroom.

I am wondering if anyone who has had experience at doing this, whether lowering stock seat or installing adjustable aftermarket seat, may possibly be attending the SDR Cars and Coffee at Krispy Kreme on Sat Jan 9th. It would be great to discuss this with you.

Thanks

I have done several and the problem is you must remove the seat rail wings which is involved to do neatly so it can be reversed later if required.
The other issue is the stock seat is wider than the distance between the rails so a stock seat can't be lowered; you must use an aftermarket seat that is narrower than 18 inches at its widest point.
I have a car here at Black Forest that I drive in track events that you can look at. It has the seat mounts lowered 2.5 inches with a race seat. It is easier to see the mechanics on a racecar with no interior.

The other option is to have the seat foam cut down on your stock seat. It is not as comfortable but much cheaper/easier.
