Looking at the Zone 8 Rules this is what I calculate for a 2002 986 Boxster

322 Base Points = CC03
245/40 Front +40 Points
200 Treadwear +20 Points
M030 Suspension, if so then +20 Points
382 Points = CC04
402 (M030) Points = CC05

Are there any points for changing the front wheels from 17x7 to 17x8.5?
My interpretation says no but I could be wrong.

In CC classes, tire width points are assessed for both Front and Rear tires over 205mm in section width, so your estimates are short 40 points in both cases.

Since you last competed in a Porsche, the Zone has created a Car Classification website that allows you to open an account and create as many car configurations as you like. Based on your answers to the car modification questions, it will automatically calculate the total points and CC class for your car, as well as spit out a Tech Sheet with all of your car points information incorporated:

http://zone8.pca.org/CarClass/default.aspx

The Z8 Car Classification website has already been updated to the 2017 Rules.

There is no points penalty for rim width changes in CC classes.
