You say the brake pedal has a lot of travel? I have found 930s to have a very short, firm pedal. This makes me think the brakes need bleeding.
There is limited adjustment of the pedals, as I recall. I have the 930 factory book at home and can look it up. But first, check the hydraulics.
Generally on 911s and 930s, the gas pedal is too much lower than the brake. There are aftermarket spacers and fancy pedals with holes in them for the gas pedal to raise it up. I have fabricated these from a block of wood, but then I'm cheap!
