Pedal adjustment on '79-930

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to adjust the brake pedal closer to the floor on my 930 so I can heel and toe the car. Right now the brake and clutch pedals both seem like they have more travel than necessary.

I don't know 930's too well, but have you checked for possible slack in the throttle cable, or slop in the throttle linkage? I'm thinking "throttle slop" here. My 944 had a little, tiny bit of cable slack in it, causing the cruise-control to go spastic. I lost the slack (thanks, Chuck Sharp) and gained back my cruise control.

You say the brake pedal has a lot of travel? I have found 930s to have a very short, firm pedal. This makes me think the brakes need bleeding.

There is limited adjustment of the pedals, as I recall. I have the 930 factory book at home and can look it up. But first, check the hydraulics.

Generally on 911s and 930s, the gas pedal is too much lower than the brake. There are aftermarket spacers and fancy pedals with holes in them for the gas pedal to raise it up. I have fabricated these from a block of wood, but then I'm cheap!

Thanks for the info. I am getting so used to driving that way in the race car, that driving the street car seems wierd not doing it.
