Toyo RA1's ????

Postby Cbad-box on Tue Mar 02, 2010 12:33 am

I keep getting mixed info on the re-release of the RA1's; so far they do not seem to be available?? My second chioce is the Nitto NT01. Any info or contact info for Ra1's is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mario

RA-1's are available in selected sizes. :D Not all sizes are available yet :( , but they are releasing more sizes every few months. :?
I was able to buy 225/50-15's for the 944 spec from Bryan Shackelford (Toyo's Only)(602-252-3301) over a month ago. He also now has the 275/40-17's for the Turbo, but I bought a set of Nitto NT-01's from him before they were out. The NT-01's seem great so far, unlike the R888's that are completely worthless!!! :burnout:

C2 Motorsports (local) also has the Toyo's. You have to talk to any of them to find out what sizes are currently shipping.
Also, due tothe huge demand for these tires, you may have to go on a waiting list!

Best of Luck getting your size. If it is not available, do not hesitate to go with the Nitto's.

Chuck thank you for the contact, I talked with Bryan and it looks like I could be waiting for some time on the Toyo's. I am going to look into the Nitto's.

I was just able to get a set of 245/45/16's ordered from Rich at Discount Tire in Rancho San Diego. 619-660-8965. It all depends on the what size(s) you need.

Mario, I'd say the Nitto's should be your first choice, given the price to performance and longevity ratio...

You could also try racetiresdirect.com out of Las Vegas. I ordered a set of 225-50/245-45 x 16's and they were here in 1-1/2 days!
AIM tires is another place I've ordered RA-1's

Toyo's are not currently available in the size I want, 225/45/17 & 255/40/17. So I ordered up a set of NT-01's today. :D Now I will just have to learn how to drive on them! Missed the last couple of auto-x, looking forward to getting back at it. Want to try some DE's too, it just seems like the drive to Willow or Buttonwillow in my 911 would be long. I noticed the OC PCA is hosting a auto-x/DE at Fontana on May 24. Is that on the infield track?

Mario,

PCA SDR is haveing a DE May 8th at Autoclub Speedway. We will be driving the infield track. It's a great DE track and nice and close compared to the others.

Mario,
The NT-01's drive very similar to the RA-1's and like about the same amount of camber and same pressures. I think you will like them. :beerchug:
