The SCCA had their first autocross event last weekend. I'm going to be running in ASP this year, but with the questionable weather I ran on RE71s in case it was going to be wet.

My best time in class was 61.282 and that was good enough for the championship win in my class. I did an extra set of X runs and with the SS PAX index my 60.504 run earned me 2nd place in the event overall!

The RE71s feel really good but by the next event I should be back on R compound tires...

What car are you running? [EDIT: Cayman S, if I'd just paid attention...] Are you planning to do the SCCA Match Tour in April?

I was a class of one in ASP last year at the San Diego Tour event in my bone stock Cayman GTS on the showroom Goodyears. (The GTS hadn't been assigned to a Street class yet.)

I'm planning to do the Match Tour in SS this year on RE-71Rs.

I'm in a 2010 Cayman S. I do intend to run the Match Tour, and have participated regularly with the SCCA since 2000.

Its a long and embarrassing story, but I accidentally ran in Super Street Prepared last year. I was on R-Compound tires but no other mods and won the 2015 season.
In 2014 my co-driver won Super Street on Z2s.
I purchased the car in 2013 and won that year in Super Stock on V710s.
